Please don’t

I’d gladly swim across the ocean

And count the plentiful fishes

But please don’t ask me,

Please don’t ask me,

Don’t ask me

To do the dishes!

We have one little life after all

You mow the grass

It keeps growing tall

The dishes too they keep piling on

You ask me to do them

And I’d be gone!

I’d rather spend my days dreaming

And spend my nights making love

I want to hear the Koel singing

I want to gaze upon the stars above

I shall love you to the moon and back

And give up all my riches!

But please don’t ask me,

Please don’t ask me,

Don’t ask me

To do the dishes!
